I'm looking to upgrade to a nice sub that will fill my approximately 2,400 cubic ft. basement with powerful, clean sounding low frequencies.

Examples of subs that I think would fit the bill that would also be in my price range:
  • HSU STF-2
  • HSU STF-3
  • HSU VTF3-MK2
  • HSU VTF3-MK3
  • SVS PB12-ISD or NSD
  • Outlaw Audio LFM-1
  • Outlaw Audio LFM-1 Plus

Please PM me with anything you have available (either new or used) which would fit my needs.

Thanks,
Justin

Since it's a decent sized area and on a slab, go as big as possible.

Wow that's a big room you may need multiple subs or one of these Velodyne-1812 sub. Cheers.

Hmm...I don't think it's all that big, really. Just about any one of the subs I listed in my original post should do the job nicely. I don't know anything about the Velodyne 1812 that you mentioned, but glancing at the Velodyne website and the specs at the Velodyne 1812, that is most definitely overkill for my basement.

Maybe you are confusing my basement size of approx. 2000 cubic feet with square feet?

Updated my original message to reflect my room size more accurately ... anyone have anything or see anyone selling someone close to this online?

I have a Paradigm PS-1000 that would fit he bill. It's a 10", rear ported sub with a boat load of power and size. The dimension are around 16" x 16" x 21" and power of 525w/175w RMS (High-Current/continuous Hybrid output), so I think it could handle your room. Here's a link to one that just sold on e-Bay recently. I'm willing to sell mine for $**** plus shipping and paypal. It's in excellent condition!

    Selling Guidelines

Note: Besides #1 & #2, the rest of these are just guidelines to make the sale easier.
You must have a total post count of 25 (contribute to the other parts of the forum) before you can sell anything in the "For Sale (FS) Classifieds" or "Garage Sale" forums.

Thats actually not a very big room, and I'd take articulation over extension any day.

Polk has some great new subs coming out. The DSW PRO 600 will be right up your alley, or you can do what everyone else feels safe with. ;)

Woooow. Look at Russ, stepping up, speaking out for Polk.

And keeping folks in line! I had forgotten (if I ever knew) that he had such priviledges...I better start being nicer to him!

Avalon - you need to follow the forum rules that Russman added to your post.

Thanks for the input, Russman. If I am still in the market for a new sub by the time the new Polk subs come out, I will definitely consider them. Although I am really hoping that I can find something before August when the new Polk DSW's are supposed to be coming out ...

I'm sorry you feel that way, but I haven't violated a guideline. My offer for sale was in response to a posting in the "Wanted (WTB) Classified".

    Guideline 1 clearly states:
"You must have a total post count of 25 (contribute to the other parts of the forum) before you can sell anything in the "For Sale (FS) Classifieds" or "Garage Sale" forums."

I don't think my post was out of bounds here and feel I have as much right to post as anybody.

    Avalon,

It's not a personal attack, just a friendly reminder (for all). Enjoy the boards.

    Cheers,

Found a used HSU STF-3 with port plug that I purchased yesterday...so, unless I am unhappy with the sub (which I doubt will happen, but I never say never), my search for a replacement subwoofer has concluded.

Thanks to all for your input!
