My sub problem

Right now I am using one Sunfire True subwoofer. Its 13 inches cubed in size. The room I have it in is pretty big and opens to several other rooms. I want more bass. I don't really have the floor space for anything much bigger than the Sunfire. What should I do to get more bass? I've already upgraded my mains to RTi150s and added a external amp for more bass from the mains. I suppose I could add a SVS tower sub, but damn those things are ugly. Are there any other subs about the same size as the Sunfire that will have more output? I'm considering saving up for a JL sub that would fit the floorspace, but the cheaper option would probably be to add a similar Sunfire on the other side of the entertainment center.
Any thoughts? Anything I am missing or passing over?

Are you sure you don't need to just turn up the gain on the back of the sub?

My room is at least 18 x 38, and it opens to other rooms and two hallways. My placement is not ideal, but yes, I am more than certain I don't need to adjust the gain. -
You're going to need multiple or one mammoth sub for all that area.
This would do the job if you can deal with it's looks or hide it. http://www.edesignaudio.com/edv2/product_info.php?products_id=408"He who fights with monsters should look to it that he himself does not become a monster. for the price of the JL you can buy two SVS subs and call it a day, and save some coin by selling the sunfire sub. is there anyway you fit a PB12 PLus 2 in there, it would definitely pressurize your room.Shoot the jumper.....................BALLIN.............!!!!!

Already measured, and there is no chance of a SVS sub fitting in the spot it needs to go.

Well, I could go with one, maybe two Ultra towers, but as I mentioned, they're kinda ugly.
