this sucks.. but my PayPal account was hijacked... and someone charged something to my account and cleaned out my balance. Luckily, I rarely have a balance in my PayPal account. i had $14 in there.. and they charged something that costs $13.87 and now i'll be receiving something called rock 'n' roll door stops. WTF??

I'd recommend anyone to not keep any kind of balance in your Pay Pal account.. if it could happen to me, it can happen to other's as well.

I assume you've taken steps to prevent more charges.

It gets even more scary, I had an issue like this before and I had no paypal balance. The hacker at that time charged $1500 on my card which was configured as backup funding source in paypal. It took me a couple of days to get the matter cleared up.

    Nice business tactic...

The guy who owns rock 'n roll doorstops, cracks into your PayPal account and orders them for you!:D

I had an issue where they took payment for someone else's purchase out of my PayPal account. It took me about 2 mos to get them to admit it was an error (on PayPal's part, not any hacking going on!). Then to add insult, they took their fees out when they put money back into my account for the error, and they won't do a thing about that

I'm a paranoid Paypal-er. My password is 16 random characters of bliss. I have a little password program I need to use if I even want to think about accessing anything dealing with my bank, credit cards, or paypal to prevent that exact thing you were talking about.

At least it was only $14... imagine if you'd just sold a car or something?

OK. i hope you get a kick out of this... more than I did... but my PayPal account WAS NOT hacked afterall. it appears the "other half" actually ordered these rock 'n' roll doorstops.. without asking my persmission...

I can't be that mad though.. it was a easy mistake... he thought he was using his PayPal account and not mine.

I still wonder why we need rock 'n' roll doorstops??

So he's agreed to repay me back the $14..

We need you to do a DBX test to see if the Rock and Roll Doorstops work better than the 99¢ version from Wal-Mart and/or the free rock or brick from your back yard.

Well yes....I was at a charity dinner not long ago (raising funds for ex **** stars with no pensions) and a drunk doorstop engineer told me that any "perceived" differences in doorstops was nothing more than voodoo and snake oil. We need to know the truth.
