Anyone using Outlaw 2200 mono blocks with LSi7s? Are they too much power?

Looking for some good quality amplification power for my LSi7s and Outlaw seems to be respected by quite a few people. However, the 2200s output 300wpc @ 4 ohms, and the LSi7s have a recommended average power of 150w.

I sit fairly close to the speakers so I won't need to crank them up very high, and popular opinion seems to be that less power is more likely to damage speakers than more power. So will I be OK with the 2200s?

Your LSI 7's will love the Outlaws. My Brother is running his on a 205wpc Parasound & they sound great & the amp runs nice & cool since it doesn't have to work so hard.

So get the Outlaws & enjoy.

    BTW Welcome to CP.

Nice little amps with a big bang. I like the compact design and to see them stacked is cool.

I've used way more power than that with the LSi7's, 900 watt per channel Carvers. They absolutely love as much clean power as you can throw at them.

    Hey Max,
Any chance you are talking about the Silver 9T's?

There is no such thing as "too much power" as long as the amp sounds good. Had a buddy with a Crown once. A fraction of a watt was too much power with that one.

I had a pair of 600 watt Bryston 7Bs on my 6" two-way bookshelf speakers. Could have used just a bit more power...except, that means 1200 watts.

Had a buddy of mine put a pair of Acoustic Energy Aegis Ones (5" bookshelves not much bigger than a shoebox) on a pair of Krell 650 Monos. It was pretty cool. I could even tolerate the amps on those speakers...sounded pretty decent.
