Need info...wireless home security cameras

So, I am trying to gather some info about setting up security cameras(at least 2 and no more than 4) to be mounted outdoors for day and night operation. They should also have motion activation so that you don't have to leave them running constantly. The preferred method of storage would be a PC inside the house so that the cameras could be monitored remotely and footage transferred to DVD if needed.

This is for my father in law. He says that he would prefer to have wireless cameras and run them through a wireless router into the computer.

If you have some suggestions on companies to look at for the DVR card, cameras or even wireless versus wired let me know.

Also, please let me know if there is more info that you need to adequately give me good advice.
