LSi tweeter in car....

I noticed one of the Polk guys had the new ring radiator tweeter installed in his car. How is it? I love my home LSi setup. Is it possible for consumers to purchase this tweeter by itself? what would be required to have it match with the new Momo M6 component system?

They sound very good, but up in the dash they require quite a bit of EQ' ing. I'm also not sure of how they'll hold up to the sun. One of the reasons I put them in the car was to see how they'd sound and how they'd hold up. I'm happy with the sound but I think with a little more time spent on location/ angle they could sound better.
When I first hooked them up I had them wired off the passive crossovers with the MM465 mids. They were way too much. I kept upping the resistor until they seemed right, but I forget what value that was. Right now they're running active- one amp runs the tweeters in stereo, one amp bridged to left mid, one amp bridged to right mid, one amp bridged to front sub (dx8) and the last amp ( the 350) bridged to the MM124 in the trunk. This way I can control crossover points from the SLX- 4.
I'm not sure about purchasing them, ask customer service if we have a part number for them. -
Damn, sounds like a killer setup. Polk should look into a high-end componnet setup using the ring tweets....
