FX500i to FXi5 worth the move?

Everything about my system matches except my rear surrounds. When I upgraded my Rti100 to the Rti6 and CSi5 I never upgraded my surrounds. I'm still using the FX500i, I've been thinking about swapping it out for Fxi5 but not sure if I'll be able to tell the difference.

You might hear a difference if you have a high-end enough amp driving them to where the clarity of the speakers is noticeable. You'd probably hear more of a difference going to the FX1000's where you definitely hear more detail. Just my two cents.

I purchased my FX500i's used from here last year (they replaced a pair of R15s, so no contest there), and had a chance to check out a pair of FXi5 about 2 months ago. Good thing they were returnable. My system is modest at best, but the 5's could not do anything the 500s couldn't do (IMO), especially
because they are used as surrounds. Unless you can sell the 500s for close to what you'll get a pair of 5's for, I'd say leave them as is.

Of course, my PSW450 sounded fine, and I bought an SVS anyway, so maybe this advice should be taken with a grain of salt?
So, are you willing to put forth a little effort or are you happy sitting in your skeptical poo pile?
