Loving the LSi7

I'm not an audiophile, just a music lover but I'm no expert in either category. I did have a chance to listen to the LSi15, LSi9, and LSi7 at home through an ordinary Yamaha HTR-5760 (told you I was no audiophile). The 15's are wonderful, gentle giant of a behemoth. 9's are too. But if you're on a budget and you can snag a used pair of 7's for a 2 channel audio system in a small bedroom or office, do it. The clarity and smoothness are wonderful. Yes, the 7's lack the punch of the 9's and the bass of the 15's but if you can also grab a decent sub I think this would be a great secondary system. Sure, the 9's will hit lower and they'll be all you need for certain types of music but I think you'll be wanting a sub to help out at times.
Also, keep in mind the 7's are smaller, lighter, and I think they're less finicky about power.
I'm impressed.

The 7's are actually closer to a 6 ohm load. If running from an AVR many times they will sound the best of the LSi line. (with a sub)
They do still benefit from higher power, they just do not seem to HAVE to have it as much as the rest of the line.
