I just bought some mint Monitor 10s from this owner today. A retired electrical engineer who is moving to his second home in Wyoming. He has this B&O system for sale and just dropped price. He might deal a little more, but it would probably be a local pick up unless his son would pack the stuff for him. For anyone who is interested in this line, it seems like a heck of a deal and this guy took care of his stuff. Apparently he is keeping a $10,000 pair of Snells he has. NO AFFILIATION.

I've been around B&O gear one time...

And the impression I got was it is good looking bad sounding gear...

    FWIW
    - Not Tom ::::::: Any system can play Diana Krall. Only the best can play Limp Bizkit.

I've never heard the gear, but wanted to offer an alert for anyone who likes danish stuff? Here's more good looking Danish gear...not that I would ever objectify anyone....

    the B&O.

My guess she looks better than she sounds, too!

Yes, and you've linked that image 42 times on this forum, we've all seen it.

Well, I don't know about it sounds like ****. I sold it before they branched off and made their own stores. It certainly isn't high end, but it does sound surprisingly good. Pretty average, yes. But think back to the mid/late 80's; it was an extremely stylish and cutting edge lifestyle product that really delivered the goods.

Certainly can't compete with the best integrateds or seperates, but someone looking for a lifestyle/aesthetic product they fill that bill quite nicely (hundreds of times better than Blose); however for me personally if I'm going to spend that kind of coin on audio it's for maximum fidelity and not cutting edge style.
