"Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!

Its almost criminal that they get away with selling their crap to the uninformed consumers especially considering the price tags.

I got into this with my roommate's GF the other day....She really thought Bose was the end all of hi-fi because it was the most expensive thing at CC and BB...Then she heard the little bedroom rig I have, and her jaw dropped...Literally less than a third of the cost of her craptastic Bose rig, and a million times better sound...Needless to say, now my roommate is saddled with buying her a new rig...He is not happy with me right now...:D

I had a party last week, and the Eagle Live dvd ended up on the player. Several people commented on how great our plasma, and especially our sound system was, (m10b's, Rt/Fx's, Csi3) and a couple asked if I thought Bose would be good for their application.

I told them HT in a box would be perfect for them, but if they're serious, don't buy Bose, and please talk to me before purchasing.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I was over at my neighbors house the other week and they were telling us that they were going to their fiends house that evening to watch a movie and that is was really good, Bose surround sound. I just smile and nodded my head.
I like speakers that are bigger than a small refrigerator but smaller than a big refrigerator:D

I got into an arguement with a ditzy woman at a dinner party once. Wanted me to prove how my speakers* were better than Bose, and didn't take my word for it. She was really persistant, made dinner uncomfortable.
