SDA break in ?

I've got a question for SDA owners. I bought some 1-C's
recently and hooked them up a week ago saturday.
The first weekend I hooked them up, I played them for
several hours and they sounded great. This weekend I
listened to them for several more hours and they sounded
GREAT! The guy I bought them from said he had them
in his garage for the past few years so I'm wondering if
they would need to be broken in again since they sat
unused for years. I seemed to get far better imaging this
weekend than last. I'm really enjoying the 1-C's, they
are by far the best speakers I've ever owned. Do you
guys remember having to break in the SDA's and does
it make sense that they would need another breaki n
period if they had sat around for years?
Thanks, Mike

I don't own SDA's but I don't think your SDA will require as much break-in(if they need any at all) since they've been used. But after being in retirement for a few years, it is possible that the surrounds may have hardened a bit. You're so lucky you scored on a pair of SDA. What are you running them with? Those things must image like crazy. I will own a pair......one day.

I'm very happy with the SDA's. I'm using them in a home theatre
setup with an Onkyo 595 receiver. People tell me I need to
get seperates with lots of power but the Onkyo is fine for now.

marvelous, I currently have no e-mail at the moment. Still re-wireing phone lines to the PC's. I'm using my Dreamcast to surf for now and I can't get hotmail to work on this bloody thing. Damn! If only this was posted a few months back while I was working full time. I'm currently attending college and only working 3 days a week. So even if was to buy them off you, I bet someone else will beat me to it. How about an estimated price? If it's not too high, I will borrow some $ from my parents. Where are you located? I'm in Toronto, Canada. I don't know the CRS model. How many drivers?, size?, floorstanding or bookshelfs? If you don't feel like answering on this forum, I will e-mail you as soon as I get my PC hooked up.
Thanx
Maurice
