Was Wii Well Worth It?

Just curious since my 360 is dead at the moment.

After the initial 2 weeks of flapping your arms about, is it still fun? In other words, do you grow tired of it quickly with little replay value while you wait around for more titles or has it been the 360/PS3 killer so touted about in the news?

I've really enjoyed mine, the replay value is pretty high in my opinion.....Believe it or not, the game I play the most is Wii sports....A lot of the games out are fun, and it is a lot more challenging because you actually need to have coordination. Connecting it to your wireless network is really easy as well...You can download all of the classic games..

I've been scouting local BB and CC regularly, and so far hasn't been able to secure one.
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I barely ever play mine anymore. When people are over it is pretty fun.

Thx. Was looking for something family friendly (wife, niece, nephew). No one's really interested in playing the 360 except for me. Mostly, it's used as a movie/music jukebox.

In that case I would recommend it.

The Wii is having a quality game drought just like the PS3 is right now... big games coming out in late summer. I think the system is great regardless.

It's a great "party" system as it makes everyone look like a gooy idiot. The only games I've played so far are their "party" games. I have no idea how Zelda, or Resident Evil type games do on the system, let alone how a game like Madden might work.

Nine-tenths of the rights he bellows for are really privileges and he does nothing to deserve them. We not only acquired a vast population of morons, we have inculcated all morons, old or young, with the doctrine that the decent and industrious people of the country are bound to support them for all time.-Menkin

I personally think the wii isn't worth it... Well, not until metroid prime 3 comes out:D

Mp2 was kind of a disappointment for me. The Ing and the "alternate" worlds didn't interest me. I hope mp3 will be more like the first prime, what a great game.

Anywho, that mario galaxy also looks like a great game and its also coming out sometime this year. The wii might not be worth it now, but come the end of the year, you'll prolly see me in line waiting for one.

Hmmm. Very tempting. I loved the Summer Olympics arcade game of old. This may be the next best thing.

Was this due to game play or controller?

Nintendo has pretty much publically apologized for Metriod Prime 2-- bad sales, not up to quality, etc... It wasn't a bad game, but the dark world/light world mix was too overwhelming at the start.

They are going back to the MP1 formula for MP3, just with more of everything.

Well, I didn't want to get too off topic, but since this is your thread;)

The controls for mp1 and mp2 are almost identical, so no, the controls were not the problem. I just consider this game more.... annoying then the first. What I mean is, basic enemies had unnessary high health, some bosses can only be hit at random moments(so annoying!), and the keys:eek: .

I don't know, mp1 just felt like it was continuation of metroid but in 3-d. The second however, just felt... out of place... with other metroid games, at least to me.

I am having a great time playing the new Paper Mario. Excellent game IMO. Mario Galaxy, MP, and Smash Bros. should be fun as well.
