Just wondering if anyone has any experience with these amps. I have an opportunity to get an SAE A205 amplifier for around a hundred dollars and can't find much about it on the internet. A buddy of mine who claims to know some about them says that they are very highly regarded amps. Any info. from you guys would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

SAE made some real nice stuff back in the day. The main players are responsible for other well respected audio companies like GAS(THE Ampzilla), ATI(Outlaw Audio/Adcom) and Sumo.

James Bongiorno is an audio legend.
CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

That amp is not particularly desirable or highly regarded. It is switchable from 100 to 200 watt output. Not actually sold by SAE but later under DAK ownership (I think it was a Korean company)

Still, if you can get it for under a hundred bucks and it works well....why not?

Joe - Is the ownership dictated by year or model number? I thought that it happened mid-model change....

Opus - Where's the pic from?
