I'm so very irritated. I'm always pleasant on the phone and I'm not someone who asks questions that don't need to be asked. I just got off the phone with someone from standsandmounts and I have never encountered such a rude gentleman in my life. I simply inquired as to his recommendation for a plasma mount for a pioneer plasma with 23" stud width that would give me as much horizontal travel as possible. He was frustrated with my questions said that he had no recommendations and that "you have too many variables" and promptly hung up on me. How is that good service. Don't give people like that any business. Plenty of other fish in the sea. Excuse me for the rant...I'm just sitting here fuming.

Try to blow it off, its not worth the stress and aggravation. I do not know squat about mounts for TV's but maybe Crutchfield does, at least they treat you like they want you as a customer.

To see how easy he has it!!!WAAAAAAAAAA He can just move on to a good company who wants his business and will treat him so. But I had to stir up this pot!!!:D:rolleyes:
You know what is funny about this VTI crap is that I really need one of their three inch racks to expand my current rack. . . I just can't bring myself to be hypocritical and buy one from them after all the crap I went through with LF before.:o
Crutchfield has lots of mounts and they treat you like a king!
Here is one that I've been looking at for my 50" Panny I have on the way as well as my projector.

That post did make me feel for you... I know I have it good. No harm done to me - I'm just going to move on to another company. Being a business owner myself though, I just can't understand how anyone would treat a potential customer like that for no reason at all. It's not like I was being uninformed, annoying or needy. I'll vote with my money, and with any luck after others read this post, their money as well.

Right on! Some business owner's today seem to have copped the attitude that we the customer are lucky that they are willing to sell us their products how they stay in business is beyond me.:) What I meant when I said you had it good was that you weren't at their mercy with a piece of junk that you may have purchased already from them. -
Is this what you are looking for?
For a flat mount:

They both look to have plenty of movement from side to side.
I'll have to look a little more for a full range mount(up down/side-side).
As long as you use lag bolts directly into the studs, you should run into any major problems. If you think there might be problems, I'm sure there are some custom installers in your area that can help you out.Tschüss

Check out www.monoprice.com , excellent prices on mounts.

Damn, should have checked monoprice. I did end up ordering one of the peerless mounts after the gentleman from visual apex was extremely pleasant and informative. I know I paid a little more than I needed to, but I don't mind given the excellent service. This concludes this little adventure. Now if I can just figure out how to mount my new rear speaks without drilling holes in them...Monitor Audio GR 60, GR10, GRLCR

I have a 50 in Philips, and there are indeed variables, as in I had to make some brackets for the set to get my Costco "universal 50" plasma mount" mount to work. Still, it doesn't take a lot of explaining and he lost a potential sale becoase of his BS attitude.
And I'd suggest Monoprice too. I wish I'd known about them before I bought my mount. My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.
