Anyone of you computer software geeks have any experience with Linux's user-friendly Ubuntu?

I have Suse on a laptop here at home, but will be switching to Ubuntu to see what it's like. I hear it is quite nice.

I hope they fixed the issue with their rebranded Broadcom wireless NICs, then. I can't get wireless to work on my Latitude d410 in Ubuntu to save my life. Just try using a Windows driver in Linux :(

Ubuntu and its variants are definitely user friendly to Linux newbs. I've used several versions for different things and found them all likeable. My only issue was with wireless card drivers, which is pretty common. OpenSuse is also very nice.

Ubuntu with XGL is a very nice OS, however the lack of support for games specifically Starcraft has kept me on the Windows side. I have used Wine for SC but does not work as well. However for anyone not interested in games I prefer it over Windows XP or Vista.
    Setup:

    2 Channel: Vienna Acoustics Mozart Grand, T+A P 1230R, Primare SPA21, Oppo BDP-105
PC: Vienna Acoustics Haydn Grand, Cambridge Azure 650A v2 , Peachtree iDAC, Denon DVD-3800BDCI
