Have been running Sprint since 2000 and never thought Id leave them but lately theyve been pissing me off.

They redesigned their website and its more convoluted than the old one. Plus, it screwed up my screenname and it was just a PITA.

Second, they bumped up my eligibility date for a $150 rebate by 2 months.

I couldve fought that I rekon but today I decided to upgrade my old phone and went to the Sprint place. I had a measly $75 rebate but half of that was negated by the $35 upgrade fee they stick you with. Plus their phone selection was pretty weak. The cheapest phone is now $180!

So I figured Id check out Verizon. Wow! Theyve got ALL the cool phones!

I settled on an LG that is an MP3 player. Bought a 1 GB memory card and have about 200 songs downloaded to it now.

I had no idea phones had this many cool features! I was really wanting an MP3 player but decided on getting a new phone. I was stoked to see I could do both! Got it for $40!

My wife has Verizon and swears by it. She has service EVERYWHERE!!

Sprint is really going to have to get its **** together or theyre going to get mowed over by Verizon.

Did you just fall off a Dodge truck into a Honda?

EDIT: That would work better if my memory was better....ugh.

I've never known anyone with Verizon to not have service when someone else does (does that make sense? it's early).

Although I'm surprised to hear you say they have "all the cool phones." That's usually Verizon's shortcoming is phone selection. Glad you worked it out, regardless.

We used to be with Nextel and had been with them for 10 years. As soon as they merged with sprint it was all down hill. Needless to say we're Verizon folks now because the people at sprint/nextel are dishonest and offer piss poor service/product.

Yeah all the Sprint phones were pretty standard. You could get some camera phones with MP3 players but they were more expensive. The phone I got was basically a pretty standard phone but still had all the bells and whistles. Plus they looked better too. Sprint only had Sanyo, one Motorola and a couple Samsungs. None of which were really all that snazzy. Verizon had a much better selection.

I've always been pretty happy with VW's service and coverage. However I will have to diagree with the cool phones comment. I think Cingular (AT&T) has the sweetest phones, but there coverage area is about the size of a postage stamp.

In Texas, Cingular/AT&T has almost taken over. They have the best coverage in the state and I'll have reception even when my friends with verizon/sprint phones dont. Actually, when I had Sprint and my roommate had verizon, I was still getting better service. I think a lot has to deal with the area youre in.

I've been with Cingular since they were CellularOne back in 1998. Been around the whole country with it, cant' say I've had many coverage issues. So... that's one hell of a postage stamp.

Cell1 is the mainstay of wireless coverage, too bad they are in the dark ages in regards to technology. Cingular didn't help, MAYBE AT&T will.

around here you have to be either in the city or on the interstate to have coverage.
