Although not low cost................getting rid of the wifey! . Probably adding spikes to my stands. Seems like a boring tweak but it certainly sharpened up the bass."Appreciation of audio is a completely subjective human experience. Measurements can provide a measure of insight, but are no substitute for human judgment. Why are we looking to reduce a subjective experience to objective criteria anyway? The subtleties of music and audio reproduction are for those who appreciate it. Differentiation by numbers is for those who do not".--Nelson Pass Pass Labs XA25 | EE Avant Pre | EE Mini Max Supreme DAC | MIT Shotgun S1 | Pangea AC14SE MKII | Legend L600 | BlueSound Node 3 - Tubes add soul!

screw with the EQ in your system. a lot of systems run really bright in the first place. ALSO, if your system has auto EQ type of function, run that without the grilles on your speakers. after that's done, cut out some thin carpet (exactly like the stuff that's in your car's trunk) and stick it in the area inside the grille where your tweeters are located. makes a WORLD of difference if your system is exessively bright. At Home:
Panasonic 42'' TC-L42U12 LCD
Pioneer VSX-80TXV
Toshiba HD-XA2
Sony PS3 - psn "metalguitars"
Xbox 360 - gamertag "giggidygiggidy"
Panamax 4300EX
Polk RTi8's
Polk CSi3's
Polk FXi3's. (x2)
Martin Logan Dynamo (x2)
Audioquest interconnects and wires.
Away From Home:
JVC HDR-50
