i am currently running mg1's for fronts/polk monitor 4's for rears and a polk center channel(no number on center), can switch to wharfedales for rear's and buy a wharfedale center so am curious as to which will sound "better" with the maggies..i really dont have the room for a set of maggie rears and my wife really prefers a center channel to a phantom one..oh yeah, i also have a jbl sc 305 i think it is center channel also...
any tips or suggestions or ideas would be greatly appreciated, especially those that use as much of my current stuff as possible
thanks!

You don't have room for even MMGW/MC1 or an MMGC/CC3? The W and MC1 are mounted flush on the wall and only need a little adjustment for listening position. The C/CC3 are traditional center channel footprint but done in planar form.

I've heard a 5.1 MC series setup with a Rel subwoofer and it was excellent.CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint. -
I'm going to bump this with discussion of the MMGW.
Would I be crazy to use a pair of MMGW as PC speakers? My issue is I don't have much desk space, but plenty of wall behind the desk and PC. Would there be a better option for a thin, wall mounted speaker? -
In-wall?

Two words "Mini-Maggies""....not everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted." William Bruce Cameron, Informal Sociology: A Casual Introduction to Sociological Thinking (1963) -
I agree on the Mini-Maggie concept, but I just don't have the desk space for them. If they could be wall mounted I'd be in, but I believe they are designed like regular bi-polar Maggies that need a lot of breathing room.

Sorry for being thick, but please explain a little more. My desk is against the wall in a corner and there is no room on the desk. Did you mean next to the desk? -
The mini-Maggies are intended for near-field listening in a small space. Desk-top placement with little space behind them actually enhances what they are capable of. Give them a try, and I think you will be as impressed as I was. They even have a ribbon tweeter! The Gear...
