My current setup is clarion dxz955mc, jl 500/5 amp, polk 10 inch sub, and polk ds6501 components.
The jl amp has 2 channels which are 100 RMS each , 2 channels with 25 watts each, and 1 chanell with 250x1 for the sub,
Currently my db6501 's are getting the 100 rms, runnin through the supplied cross over.
I want to use time alignment, but my headunit only lets you use it if you are in an advanced 2 way or three mode, which which turns the rca ouput sets of the radio, to a "high" "Mid" and "Low"
My quuestion is, if i ditch the passive xovers, and use the active ones in my headunit, I would run 100 rms to each mid(6.5) , and only have 25 rms available for each tweet, I know tweets require less energy, but is 25 rms not enough to make the match up with the mids at 100 rms?

That is a big difference in power, but it may be worth a shot. You could back down some on the volume of the midrange drivers to help them blend in better.Alpine: CDA-7949
