I've going to replace the inductors, if I understand the schematic, the inductor at the upper left of the pic is the 1.25 mHz. Can someone tell me if that is correct,as I cannot find an identification. Thanks in advance--george

The top left is a 1.25mH
The bottom Left is a 2.5mH
Please. Please contact me a ben62670 @ yahoo.com. Make sure to include who you are, and you are from Polk so I don't delete your email. Also I am now physically unable to work on any projects. If you need help let these guys know. There are many people who will help if you let them know where you are.
    Thanks
    Ben

Most folks say not replace those because apparently there is a lot more to inductors than the Henrys.

thanks,, just wanted to double check,,now if my diagnostic skills are on, this should fix the problem. Got these (1C's) off e-pay for 249.00,very good condition. Upon listeming to them the left side seemed lacking in the mids,,upon removing the passice ,the inductor was laying in the bottom of the cabinet,I resoldered, but the problem still persists,,hopefully this will be the end of this thread,,we'll know in a little while. :)

At Chicago PF I ended up leaving with Normanality's SDA 1C's. It's my understanding a former member (Anonymouse-haven't seen him around in awhile) upgraded the x-overs with Sonic Caps, and Norm and Rich (SCompRacer) added Vampire connectors and a more user friendly IC cable with a bannana plug on each end as well as the RD0 tweets. No mention of replacing any inductors.

I was tweaking last night and have them 11 inches from the back wall and almost 6 feet apart. Initially I wasn't getting that euphoric SDA effect so I moved each speaker 3" closer to each other (total of 6") and WOW that really made a difference.

I guess my point is keep looking for the issue, I'm sure fixing the inductor helped. :D

I have already replaced all the caps with sonicaps, mills resistors, inductors,,,now I'm struggling with no tweeter output after the inductor change,,hell,,, things have got to improve,I've never had this much trouble with crossovers before, when I get home today,I'll check them out. :o:(

I feel your pain. One of the BIG pluses to getting Norm's SDA's were the fact that someone else (competent) had already done all the upgrades. :D

Good luck, I'm sure you'll sort it out. :)

Brock, anonymouse performed all the mods to the 1C's you got from Norm. All I did was make the IC a little longer. I am sorry for the confusion. I was running on empty Saturday.

I'm pretty sure a towel (wet or dry) won't fix your problem. :p:p

Did you remove the polyswitch. If so, you need to replace it with a jumper.

Also, check the tweeter and driver output connectors. Both have 4 pins and can be easily swapped by mistake.

Jesse,I had replaced the polyswitches with jumpers,I wiggled the jumper,,and the tweets started working,so I resoldered it,,,problem solved,,next I replaced the inductors (as one was laying in the bottom of the cabinet upon arrival),problem solved. They are playing right now,so I'll give em a few hours before I button them up. I'll post pics later.I won't even begin to tell ya'll what went through my mind last night,as I was extremely frustrated(it's covered in another thread).Bottom line, caps replaced with sonicaps, mills resistors, inductors from madisound, binding posts and SDA cable connection are Vampire BP-hex, I think I'll take up go-kart racing as a new hobby.:)
This is my LAST set of 1C's,,I can assure you of that. :D
