Bi-amp question

Last night I bi-amped my 2.3's and now have a lot of bass [boom] that was not
present before. The tight bass[and I mean tight] that I had before is gone. I believe everything is wired correctly and I did disconnect the jumper wire[at the terminals] on the 2.3's. One amp feed's the highs and the other the lows.
I'm using two Pioneer M-91 amps and a C-91 control amp. I would like to try
the mono block set up but not sure how to bridge the amps.
Is it as simple as placing the power amps in mono mode and using one amp for each channel or is there another method. Please have patience with what must
seem like an elementary question to many but I don't want to fry anything.
Thanks.

Which amp we're you using when you were using one amp? Maybe the "low" amp has a problem. Re-install the jumper and use one amp at a time in your original "tight" configuration just to make sure each amp is doing the job properly. If all works normally recheck your connections, and try bi-amping again. ABOVE ALL, don't forget to remove the jumper when bi-amping or you will fry one or both amps and possibly your speakers as well.

How do you have them hooked up?does the M91 have level controls? by chance maybe the level controls on the one driving the upper range are turned down causing the frequency imbalance.Testing

Testing -
It has level controls and they are set the same, but they have no effect when I adjust them. I'm going switch amps and experiment like joe suggest and report back. I did test each amp seperately on a set of Snell C/V's and all sounded well.
The only other test I know how perform to check the amp's condition is a simple dc offset measurement with a DMM.
Those readings were ok.
I have them hooked up like Polk's diagram shown
in the owners manual for 2.3's,[bi-amping].SDA 2.3/RDO's... xovers by Ben

The tight bass was from an M-'90' I used before bi-amping.SDA 2.3/RDO's... xovers by Ben
