Anybody own one of these? HK AVR7000 I am looking at a nice sounding one on a-gon. Got nice email reply and plan to give the guy a call if anyone here can endorse. Never owned HK of any kind.

I've found some online reviews that claim that this run of HTR had glitches. The guy who is selling his claims it has been flawless. I know both can be true, and both can be false...etc. No one here have experience with this model?

I've had a 7200 for a couple years and really like it. The 7000/8000 came before and were high $$ AVRs for their time. Their downside was only a 5 channel amp even though the newer ES/EX processing was there.

HK AVRs in general have had some processing glitches that they have never really addressed. Volume freakouts, digital dropouts or muting switching when changing channels, etc. On the other side, they have always been way above the other mainstream AVRs in the ability to drive larger speakers and their Logic 5/7 multi channel is decent.

    Great amp sections, clunky processors.

Thanks. I was put a bit off when I visited audioreview.com. There were a lot similar complaints about this model (7000). Some guy put one up on ebay and listed it as new even though he was asking a third of new price. I emailed him about it, and he said well it was like new even though it was 3 years aold and they didn't give that option when listing for sale, so he just put new. I told him that was fraud. He changed his ad.
