Seems that people with modded or hacked boxes are being banned from xbox live. My friend had a modded box so he could play copied games and guess, no more live for him on that console. Seems like MS isnt banning your Live Acct, just your console ID. Link to more info

Hacker and mods should definately be banned. Nothing worse than getting into a game with a loser with no skill who ruins the fun for everyone else.

or worse yet, a guy who rents games and just burns them, thereby giving the developer zippidy doodah for his/her efforts

You know, I personally don't think Microshit should be pissing off any more people by restricting anything, given their track record so far with the continued functionality of that console....They should really be happy that they don't have a class action lawsuit on their hands so far...

Well I never said I was innocent...but let's take it for what it is worth, I am sure most people that claim piracy are the same that download music illegally.

As for me...well after getting burned who knows how many times buying 50+ dollar crap games for the ps2, only to have a 50 dollar crap coaster because it was the worst game ever made...well after a while you start getting sick of it. And you know there are game developers out there that continue to do this on a regular basis because the sheep think that it will get better.

How about EA...now we as sports fans are to only buy Madden football, we are stuck with a franchise that has one player. Because EA was desperate to get 2k sports off the market. Also EA has there own servers which bite **** with horrible lag that makes even a foursome on Tiger Woods unplayable online.

I could go on about every franchise and their downfalls....Halo and the good ol' standby method, Rainbow Six Vegas...Sniper rifles that take 2-3 headshots for a kill, yet an mp9 will drop you with one bullet from across the map, LOTR...crappy EA servers, laggy single player game with a lot of BOT's on the map.

This has been going on for years, and people..mainly the crackers, and the "Scene", have made it their sole business to stick it to M$ and the developers. It's all cat and mouse. M$ won this week, and yet guess what, by this weekend there will be a work-around for the bans. It's already been stated on Xbox-scene that they know what and how M$ banned people, and the crack group will have a new DVD firmware on how to work around it.


I mean seriously let's be honest...how many times have you walked out of a movie with a date after just blowing 30+ dollars on tickets and popcorn only to feel cheated? Or how about that great song you heard only to pay 15 dolalrs for a good song and 10 other crap songs. People get fed up, and thats why there is piracy. Am I saying it's right?...no of coarse not, but there is a limit any more on how much people will take it in the butt.

Oh and one other thing...$400+ tax on Windows Vista Ultimate...and they wonder why people pirate? And quite frankly I love how Sony tries to pawn off their anti-software crap on their music and DVD's...YET they sell DVD/CD burners for under 30 dollars. Now you tell me, is that not an oxymoron?

It doesn't matter who the company is...people just want to play games for free. Most people don't just do it to "stick it" to Microsoft..They do it so they don't have to pay $60 for a game..

It's not some noble gesture to get back at Microsoft (aka the evil empire):rolleyes:

Look at how many people modded their PS2's...is that people just sticking it to Sony? or was it just people who didn't want to pay $50 for a game..

you can justify it all you want...bottom line..it's still stealing...

I'm not passing judgement..as I have done similar things in the past..

i don't want to spend $60 on a game. i haven't modded mine, but i still don't want to spend that much. if there is a cheaper avenue, i'll travel upon it, if feasible.
