Yamaha HTR 5240 FS

This is much easier. Yamaha HTR 5240 bought in 2000 for $379. Mass market, but it served me well until you people convinced me to drop $1500 on separates. It is 70w across 5 channels in 8 ohms. It handles 4 ohm loads well. For a normal size listening area, this has plenty of power, but it obviously is not higher end. No preouts, no HDMI.....well, you can look at its backside. The only issue I know with this is that the manual input selector is fussy, but I use a Harmony universal or the unit's remote (which you get) and the selection is fine. Lots of sound processing if you like annoying your spouse while watching a movie.
Audiogon blue book (which is my only reference point) says $210.
I will sell for $150 plus shipping (and that is negotiable).
If I can't sell, I will pass on to No. 1 son.
The digital camera shows smudges and dust specs I could not see. It has a few superficial scratches along the top.
Cash, checks, money orders, tequilla.

I gave my Onkyo 6.1 100 watt a ch. to my 12 year old son.engtaz
I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
If I don't get a bite on this or the TEAC outfit, I might list my Rotel RX 975. 100 watts times two (a/v receiver). Very nice piece. Weighs about 25 pounds. I just need to cut down on stuff. I already gave my son my Yamaha A-700 (int. amp) and a pair of 7s and 5 jrs. And he still wants to charge to mow my lawn!

Bump before I drop to p. 2. Hate to see you miss out on this flagship of the Yamyaha mass market middle of the road HTR. Ran a lot of nasty audio through this....the stories it could tell. Buy it for a friend, a boss...your boss's friend....
