Hi All,

This is my first post here so please be kind to a noob. I was recently able to purchase 2 pair of rti6 and wanted to know if it would be better to use 1 as a center and find another use for the one left over. Or use 1 set for for the fronts and 1 sets for the rears.

Will using the rti6 for a center sound better that say a csi3 or csi5.

Your input is greatly appreciated.

Use two for the front left and right, the other two for surrounds, and get a CSi3 for a center. You can get one used for $100 - $120 in most cases.

The CSi5 is nice and would certainly work well, but is likely overkill, more expensive, and very large.

BTW. . . WELCOME!!! Stick around, ask questions, etc.

You're already off to a good start with your system. What other gear do you have to run the speakers with?

thanks for the information. I have yammie 5890, adcom 7506, svs pb10, oppo 971, fujitsu 42'' hdtv.

for some reason I thought I read a post that said because of timbre matching the rti would sound better than csi3.

The CSi3 is the matching center for the RTi series, and seems to go well with bookshelves (RTi4 and RTi6).

You should be all set after you grab the CSi3.

That setup should be really great, especially since you've already got a pretty solid separate amp to drive the speakers. The SVS and Oppo are favorites around here too. You and your gear will fit right in :)
