any idea what would cause a Pioneer VSX-3300 receiver to cut out when put in simulated surround mode? only the left rear channel cuts out won it on ebay for 20 bucks plus shipping i really love the thing it made my dad jealous when i hooked it up to the SDA1s' he gave me it just sounded so good ^.^ well at least 1000 times better than the POS mini system i had... anyway anyone know what the problem could be? i just hate owning something and cant use all of its features

hmmm? does it have a button or knob when you switch it to simulated surround? if so... maybe one of them is shorting out... dirty, needs some lube.
also, that channel that cuts out. means that channel's amp may be bad.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

i wiggled the button nothing happened and i'm an expert at it lol both my dad's equalizer and mine have bad tape buttons x.x constant wiggling (which reminds me i blew out two led's trying to fix mine) and everything works when i take it off of surround mode x.x its sad i finally get the learning remote working then find out something else is wrong it may be the switch tho probably stick a jumper across the contacts (low volume of course) to test when i get a chance i dunno
