Does anyone know if a 1000.2 RockFord Fosgate amp would be the right amp to power two Polk Audio MM10's ??? The sub would be 500 W X 2 @ 2 Ohms RMS @ 1% THD and i believe everyone knows the specs on the MM10's... And if not what would be the perfect amp for the job??? I need help deperately... Thanks again.

maybe its a typo or maybe i'm in error...
if you've got a rockford 1000.2 that is 500 x 2 at 2 ohms... then how is he going to get 500 to each momo sub.. the momo's are 4 ohm subs. so that's more like 275 - 300 x 2 at 4 ohms ??
if its 500 x 2 at 4 ohms, then ya that's a perfect amp.
the other rockford that personally i like better is the D block... the bd1000.1 (or is it bda1000.1?) that thing comes outa the box 11 of 12 hundred watts and is 2 ohm stable so you'll snag a good 5-600 per sub.The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
So should i get the RF 1000BD or the RF 1000.2??? I thought the Momo subs where 2 ohm stable... not 4... ANd so if its the 1000BD then it will push 4 ohms at 500 watts or what?? Please help me make my system good... Thanks again!!!

Also heres another idea... since i already have a RockFord 500.2 amp should i just get another 500.2 Amp since it would be 4 Ohms Stable at 500 watts and just hook each invidually up? and then get a 3rd amp with 4 channels for the mids and highs?? Thanks again.

Get the MTX 500 d-block it runs around 459.00 but thats the perfect amp for 2 polk momo 10's, at least thats what i was running, by the way did you recieve the new mm10, then NON defected one.....email me at patrickdawg_03@yahoo.com , i am now running 2 12" Alpine Type-R's until the new mm10's are out, i been waiting for over 3 monthes **** personally:supermad:
