Need help upgrading

If I have all monitor series speakers but am interested in upgrading my monitor 40's to rti6's would it not sound good until I upgrade my center and surrounds?

T.V.- Sony KDL50W800B
Blu Ray- Custom built HT PC
Vizio Sound bar- S4221W

Give us an idea what you have setup already. AVR, pre amp,amps, and speakers?
