Inspired by the article about the fistfight that interrupted a Boston Pops concert.

So....have you started/witnessed/involved yourself into a fight at a concert?

No, but I have been tear gassed at a Kansas concert.

I've seen tons of fights break out at concerts. Just the norm at any punk show. Sometimes its in good fun. And sometimes it escalates to bruises and broken chiclets.
I never had it like this where I grew up. But I send my kids here because the fact is you go to one of the best schools in the country: Rushmore. Now, for some of you it doesn't matter. You were born rich and you're going to stay rich. But here's my advice to the rest of you: Take dead aim on the rich boys. Get them in the crosshairs and take them down. Just remember, they can buy anything but they can't buy backbone. Don't let them forget it. Thank you.Herman Blume - Rushmore

Everyone was too wasted to fight. This was pre punk era, of course.
Inviting the Hell's Angels was a bad idea!

Hah, definitely some good brawls back in the concertgoing days. I never participated, I just stood back and watched.

Best non-fight pits: Pantera or Anthrax

Best fight: A friend of mine at Ozzfest in Charlotte a few years ago found the second biggest guy in the pit and literally suplexed him onto a concrete floor. (as far as I could see, my friend was literally the biggest guy there.)

I laughed until I cried. and then laughed some more.

The most fights I've ever seen, by far, was Steve Miller at the Gorge in Washington state. Scenic spot... Columbia river behind the stage, grass type ampitheater, and fights! Weird.

Right in front of me this girl kept clocking this guy in the face (good punches), and he kept yelling 'I won't hit a girl!'. She got him quite a few time before they dragged HIM off, and she stayed.

I've seen and probably participated (if I could remember) in many many concert fights but never ever at the opera or a full orchestral performance.

I was at the concert where Ian Anderson of Jethro Tull got bonked on the head with a roll of toilet paper and started freaking out on the crowd, apparently the guy who threw it was nabbed by fellow concert goers and got the living **** kicked out of him.

I've seen several, and I was getting readyto participate in one once.

I was sitting in the Seattle Coliuseum with my then GF, watching two dudes fight. fine two dudes fighting. Pretty soon one of the friends sucker punches the other guy while he was fighting his friend. That made me very angry, and I was climbing over the seats to get at him when my GF grabbed me by the belt and pulled me back into the seat.

Someone else took care of it for me by giving him the one punch KO.
My equipment sig felt inadequate and deleted itself.

I went to a concert a while ago that was thrown by the radio station that my friends dad was GM of....It was a Top 40 station, so 98 degrees was there...****....So I tossed a half full water bottle in their general direction, not thinking it was even going to make it up there...It ended up landing squarely in the chest of one of said homos....It was really hard to keep a straight face when I got to meet all of them later.....He still had the wet wife beater on, and a nice red mark on his chest...God that felt good.

Yeah I know...I was just glad that I got out of the crowd and backstage before all of the teenie-boppers clawed by eyes out.....His dad thought it was hilarious, he really didn't like any of those boy band aholes, it is too bad that he passed away a little over a year ago.....He was so much fun to meet famous people with...

Seven Mary Three concert in Florida. A girl was crowd surfing and this 7' tall **** trying to put his hands up this girls shirt. She was crying trying to fight him off. No one was doing anything.

So, I did what any 5'6" Midwest kid would do. I ran up to him hit him as hard as i could in the chest and he dropped the girl and I waited for my as$ whoppin'.

The crowed gathered behind me and security escorted him out of the building.

    WHOOOOOOOO...That was going to hurt!

since I'm an 80's metal child, I've seen it all as well....

The best wasn't a fight though.....I was at a Skid Row concert in a smaller venue that had 2 levels...the top level kind of overhung over the floor level.

I look over and some chick on the upper level is puking over the side and all over the people underneath her...This started a whole slew of puking on the floor..

    gotta love rock n roll..:D

Nahhh I would only do that in a scenario to save my own ****. I knew right were to hit him. His arms were extended above him. This stretched out his lungs and I hit him just below his sternum. This knocked the wind out of him long enough for security to get him.

Had he got up and came at me that would have been my next attack.

LOL!!! See you never learned. After you knocked that wind out of him and he hit the ground, by then you should have been atleast two blocks away!!!:D

Back in my late teens I was in a fight with another kid and I knocked him cold with a hook, when he hit the gound, not knowing he was out, I continued the onslaught. . . one of the punches woke him up and he then proceeded to kick the **** out of, punched out, exhausted, me!!!
