Dolby dolby and dolby

Can someone save me some research and explain the various Dolby formats found on DVDs? The difference between Dolby stereo and Dolby Digital 5.1 seems obvious. But, how about Dolby Surround? I'm playing the Blue Man Group Complex Tour DVD last night and it describes the audio mix on the flip side as 5.1, but it describes the actual concert as Dolby Stereo or Dolby Surround. Is Dolby Surround just another name for Dolby Digital or Dolby 5.1? I like this concert, except for all the audience shots, but boy does it send a lot of sound thru the center channel.
