So I finally got my subwoofer dialed in for ultimate destruction in HT...

So I put in some nice rap music for some destruction...

Put the music at an above average listening level - put the subwoofer level at 12 oclock and the xover at 80hz..

I kid you not, the lights would dim in and out with each hit. My DVD player had to be moved elsewhere as it was moving inches at a time..

And not for one second did that sub get sluggish, distort or give me a hard time. It had plenty more to go...

Suh-weet.

Adios ahha

Every time I turn the power on to my 555 the lights dim. But then again I'm in an apartment and there are six breakers in the box 2 for the stove 2 for the kitchen and 2 more that have the living room, dining room, bath room, and both bed rooms. It really sucks because if a breaker trips half the apartment goes out, luckily it's only 17 strides from the front door to the far side of the apartment, and only 13 strides from side to side(I think I should move in to a card board box, at least I'd have heat in the summer and AC in the winter.)

Well I was cranking it trying to find limits...

I could not find them... not even possible. You would get physically ill.

Seriously, with the capabilities of 1400 watts... absoutely NUTS.

Well that is almost 3X what my SVS pushes. That is serious depth.

Apparently the Larger is possible of like 115db at 20hz, 0 db flat - no eqing or anything.

I can believe it. Its just sick.

The SVS is a great sub, but I'm afraid it has some serious competition against the Larger (the Ultra)

So - does the Crown give out first or does the sub?

I could not find the limits of anything.

The sub is far more than Ive ever had in my room and it can demolish it if it needed to. That is for certain.
