Its going to be on the marketplace late tonight. I didn't play the first Forza, but I heard a lot of great things about it. I will be getting the game for sure, but I'll look at the demo anyways.

I bought my 360 last year for this game alone.... Unfortunately, I have had to wait until now to see it with all of the delays. Other games kept me company in the meantime. Even if it's just a little better than the original, it will be worth it as the original was awesome!

from what i read, playing online does not allow simultaneous on-screen play. something about you race others online and win or lose by way of timestamps. could be wrong, though. anyone have/getting the wheel?

If thats true it would be the lamest damn thing ever.

I'm going to see how much my neighbor can get the wheel for at the MS company store.

I can't believe that....why bother making a racing game in 2007 if you can't play against humans online?

Yes! They included my car in the demo!

Anyway, I think the game feels fantastic. OK yeah, PGR looks better visually but has a much more arcade feel to it. I don't think it is the best looking game but it certainly looks nice but most importantly plays great. Ever since Forza came out I preferred the feel of it more than the Gran Turismo game. (Feels like the cars are more connected to the ground and almost as if you can feel how the body roll affects the under/oversteer of different cars and all around more convincing as a simulator.) The 60fps is also phenomenal as it has been a while since I have played a game on the 360 that is locked at a solid 60fps which is perfect for a racing game.

Now my question is; has anyone downloaded the demo that has the steering wheel? I am eager to hear what you think because I might have to put some money aside to pick one up once the game is released.

AFter reading that, I looked around on the net and couldn't find anything that would suggest that there wouldn't be normal online play...

I'll be downloading the demo when I get home from work today..

okay, i'm back. gonna attempt to salvage my good name. it wasn't forza, it was the game DIRT. the only complaints of forza are the graphics having jaggies. hopefully i haven't single-handedly killed the spirit for this game...SORRY ALL. PLEASE FORGIVE ME.:o

I just got the demo -- the surround sound effects on the crashes are really fantastic, imo (from the in-driver view)

I played the demo and unfortunately for me, you can't change the controls at all..

Coming from the Gran Turismo series, I cannot use the trigger buttons for accelerating and braking..

Guess I'll have to wait for the full game...as I assume I'll be able to change the controls to use both analog sticks

the game looks good to me..although the car models don't seem to "fit" together with the environment..kinda hard to explain..

I'll still be buying the full game

I'm in for this one. I chose the 360 and the wheel over the playstation 3 for this game alone. (The wheel works great with the demo, by the way!) Also this game is the only racing game I have seen that has my car, the 944 turbo.

I'm seriously considering getting the wheel because of this game. I just can't decide. Its a lot of coin for an accessory.

I am as well on both counts. $150 is pretty steep for a steering wheel. However, it does include a force feedback version of Project Gotham Racing 3 and as someone mentioned works extremely well with the demo version. Not only that I throughly enjoyed the Dirt demo and that would yet another wheel-worthy title.

I have only played about 15 minutes of it but so far the overall presentation of the game, visuals, and feel seem really solid.

I'm not crazy about the MS wheel. When you let go of it, it doesn't automatically return back to center. Pretty lame if you ask me.

I agree, problem I have is finding a good wheel. The only wheel I have liked is/was the ACT LABS RS wheel. I'm not as good with a controller.

Well today is the day. I am going to go pick up the 360 wireless wheel since it dropped $20 in price. Yeah, $130 is still fairly steep however, owning TD: Unlimited, NFS: Carbon, PGR 3, and later today Forza 2 which all support the wheel it should be well worth it.

i'm about halfway done with the game... there is one bug that occasionally pisses me off (sections of the road surface will disappear - you can still drive, you just can't see the road), but as i don't have it connected to Live at the moment, maybe they've patched this.

i have the 'official' wheel, and it definitely returns to center (i think you have to have it plugged in to the wall to get force feedback). realism? put it this way - i drove my car in-game, and it has a funny handling quirk when flicking into certain types of corners, and the game got it almost exactly right. i play on full simulation mode, so i learned real quickly that you do _not_ want 600+ horsepower to a pair of bias-ply tires (a la old mustangs). they got the tire pressures right this time around, too - race tires work better at ~17 psi in forza 2 (this took me much trial and error to discover, as it's different than forza 1). the ratios between bound and rebound are more realistic, too (on an r-class vehicle, you usually want your rebound stiffness to be 3-4 times your bump stiffness, and again, f2 gets this right, whereas f1 was a bit off).

for those with the wheel - i found that adjusting my seating position above the pedals, and between me and the wheel, made a huge difference to lap times (three seconds or more in some cases!) anyone else notice this?
It's not good, very fundamentally simply not good. - geolemon

I've played two arcade races so far. I am very impressed. Graphics are great. Seems to be very smooth and have an exceptional framerate. I know the framerate is constant across all games, but it has that feel of high fps. What has impressed me most so far is the use of Dolby Digital. In my first race there were car engine sounds all around me, but in the right rear surround channel it sounded like someone was passing me on the right. Sure enough, they were. Its just so cool! Who needs reverse view when the game gets the sounds so good.

I've been playing with the controller. I can tell its going to be much better with the wheel. I am sure I will pick one up tomorrow.
