LSi9 Speaker Stands

What do you suggest in the way of speaker stands for the LSi9 speakers? I'm currently using 29" black metal speaker stands from Podium for my LSi7's. My top plate is like 5-1/2 x 5-1/2. I'm thinking maybe that's to small for the 9's. What do you recommend in the way of Material, Brand, Height, Top Plate size etc...?

I used Target FS-series 28" stands with leadshot. They worked fine. The other Target stands would work well also, depending on how much you're wiling to spend.

Plenty of options, some people like the Parts Express stands and I have read lots of good things on the Sanus stands.

Personally when I had 9s I used custom made Skylan Stands. Everything I read on stands pointed to these stands, plus they were about the same price as all the others I was looking for and were custom made. I got mine made so that the tweeter was perfectly ear level, and the top plate was exactly the same size as the bottom of the 9s.

That's what I did. It was also convenient as he builds these locally.

Plateau stands filled with shot. Light cherry finish and black tubes matches the cherry finished LSi9's. Very solid.

Sanus Ultimate Foundation, check them out at onecall http://www.onecall.com/ProductDetails.aspx?id=8902 great, stands and can be filled with shot or sand, though they're plenty heavy without sand or shot, we've got 2 pair (one for our LSi9's & LSiFX's); they are outstanding!
