May is National Military Appreciation Month providing us an opportunity to thank and honor those who serve our nation. National Military Appreciation Month includes VE (Victory in Europe) Day, Military Spouse Day, Loyalty Day, Armed Forces Day/Week, National Day of Prayer, and Memorial Day. It recognizes those on active duty in all branches of the services, the National Guard and Reserves, plus retirees, veterans, and all of their families.

National Military Appreciation Month, as designated by Congress, recognizes both the history of our armed services and the diversity of its individuals and achievements. It allows Americans to educate each generation on the historical impact of our military through the participation of the community with those who serve, encouraging patriotism and foster love for America.

Please take a moment or two to thank those who have answered the call to serve.
