Center channel in tray ceiling?

I am setting up a 5.1 system with 3 TC-265i's in the front and 2 TC-80i's for the rears in the ceiling. The projection screen is ceiling-recessed, and will only have 3' of space left between the screen and the floor. The ceiling will have a 45 deg tray ceiling, and I was thinking of framing an enclosure with a TC-265i in it. Will this detract from the sound at all?
