I cant get my reciever to go to Pllx music (or cinema). When I pust the music or cinema on my remote nothing happens. The part of the manuel to my Denon 2807 that I was reading basically says to push the surround parameter button and on the SB select cenima or music, ect, But when Im in MULTI CH IN 7.1 the surround back option dosnt show up. When I am not playing the a game it will still show MULTI CH IN 7.1 but plays in 2 ch. Can you please help me? I want to put my reciever on DTS Neo 6 music to play the music so sound is coming from all the speakers, instead of playing music in 2 channels. When I am in using opticle and am on dolby digital I would have no problem switching it to DTS cinema or pllx movie. When Im scrolling through the XMB my reciever will say MULTI CH IN 7.1 but will only play in 2 ch. I do understand that the music is not supposed to play in 5.1 or 7.1 unless it supports that format, so thats why I want to switch to DTS Neo 6 music or Dolby Pllx music.

I think you need to press either the mode button, or the standard button on your remote to get out of 7 ch direct mode. If you can't get it and no one else chimes in. I'll look through my manual and let you know what's up. Oh yeah, if you using the Direct 7 ch in, you can not use any processing it's just a straight through with only volume control

    Denon 2807

you have multiple modes you can choose. Most of the controls for Denon are on the remote. Just press the appropriate buttons. In the middle of your remote are those selection buttons.

I have a Denon 887 and limited knowledge (still learning here). It seems to me that the sound parameter button only saves the current configuration you've set up for whatever mode you're listening to at the time. Try using the two rows of three buttons (probably blue in color) above the sound parameter button to set your configuration then hit the sound parameter button to save it.

You can not apply any processing (PLIIx, DTS NEO:6, etc.) to the multi channel inputs - they bypass all processing and go straight to the amp. Even speaker settings are bypassed. They are for use with SACD or DVD-A players or other devices that incorporate their own processing.

To get out of multichannel in mode, hit the i.mode button until it says Auto.

If your receiver is on Auto but showing multi-channel in on the display, that means it is not receiving a digital audio stream for the input you have selected. In auto mode, the Denon will default to multi-channel in when it can't find and audio stream and PLIIx etc. can not be applied. You have to use digital inputs to use these modes. You need to find out why the Denon can't find the digital audio stream.

First, connect a digital audio cable from you source device's digital audio out to one of the Denon's digital audio inputs (note which one). Next, go into the Denon's setup menu and assign the digital audio input you used to a device (for example, if you are using the "DVD" input for your DVD player and have the digital audio cable from the DVD player connected to coax digital input 1, assign coax digital input 1 to "DVD". Now, set the Denon to DVD, play a DVD and press i.mode until it says "Auto". At this point the digital stream will be active and you can apply PLIIx, NEO:6 or whatever.

Apart from that, I'm not sure what else to suggest.

One more thing - if I remember correctly, the Denon will not allow you to use NEO:6 with a Dolby Digital stream. You can apply PLIIx to DTS, but not DTS NEO 6 to Dolby Digital.

I have already connected an opticle cable to the ps3 and it will work fine. I get the dts neo 6 music and the pllx music, but the problem is that on the playstation 3 I can only select either select opticle, HDMI or the RCA cables.
