sorry it was the 1017 not the 1016

Specs wise the 1017 is a perfect match for your speaker set. but I guess you'd need to listen to it, 2 c if u like it.
if your room is mid - large, I'd consider going with a larger sub because the psw10 might distort and sound messy, if the room is to much for it to handle. -
i will have 2 of these psw10s or would i be better off running 2 psw110 the only thing that i dont like is the look of the 110 it doesnt match the monitor series speakers but if its a big difference i will pay the extra and get the psw110

is that amp i have picked out a good one is it worth buying cause ive been considering yamaha

yamaha does not have a good following here. Denon, Onkyo are the 2 more common and liked units. I have both in my house.engtaz
I love how music can brighten up a bad day. -
will the pioneer be a good choice than or could you suggest a certain amp for those speakers

in what spirit is this question asked? Other then my wife's figure, I don't care to much about how things look.
Subs: I'd stretch my budget just a little more, and get one powerful sub (404, or 505). I run a psw10 on a mid sized room, and I feel it is to much for it, I am currently researching what's out there as a replacement (the psw10 moves to my small home office)
Yamaha's: like engtaz wrote they are not favorites over here. I think that the Monitor series is a little on the bright side (it is very good from the low mids and up, but it lacks oooomph on the lower end, hence the reason u want a decent sub). Yamahas (the ones I demoed) are also a little bright. bad match. if its more models, you want to here about (other then Denon and Onkyo, mentioned b4) , then I'd check the Marantz 4001 (fantastic), and the HK 235. both I have demoed with the Monitors (went with a Marantz) .
