Carver TFM-24 Amp

Can anyone tell me about this amp? What are the spec's, is it any good? I got it for free and was wondering if I should bother hooking it up or not.

    They have the same specs as the TFM-25....I think it is like 225w/ch.....It is the same amp with lights instead of meters....If it works and you don't want it, I may take it off of your hands.....I need a functional amp....:)

    225 wpc, not bad for free. Hell, hook it up and find out how it sounds. If you do not want to hook it up send it to me.

    It does work, I know that for sure. One of our customers was clearing out some audio equip, I mean a ton and I was offered this amp. I wish I was able to spend more time searching through all the stuff. The carver caught my eye. He had many Phase Linear and who knows what.

    One more thing. Is this amp too much for the R50's?

    You'll hear an immediate improvement in the R50s, though they can't play as loud as that amp can amplify...don't take them above 100dbs and you should be fine.
