I've been looking to possibly upgrade my 1000ps for sometime now to the LSI line. I noticed that the 25s are only 400 more than the 15.

I've read why everybody likes the 15s for the 1000 dollar price point in the past. But what about at $400 dollars.

Should I jump? They are essentially $1750...

At the risk of us repeating ourselves...

BTW - my vote was yes, jump, but to the 15's not 25's. (if you have the amplification that you need to run the LSi series well)

    Michael
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

My question is, where are you buying LSi15s for $1350? There are plenty of dealers selling them for far less than that brand new.

Those sounded like crutchfield prices and they are:

    LSi15 pair $1349.98 $150 off.
    LSi25 pair $1749.98 $750 off.

That's a pretty steep discount for the 25s. Is this from Polk or Crutchfield? Trying to clear them out?

Wow Dane, I must be shopping at the wrong places. I guess that's what happens when you live in the country... Any dealers in NC with those outstanding prices..

And yeah, I did see that on Crutchfield. I was also told that they would be on sale soon for that price at Tweeter...

It may be to late so it may not help you, but select Tweeter stores are/have been closing. If they haven't already closed, check it out. I have forgotten off the top of my head which ones are closing, but a phone call to your local Tweeter store could give you the info. you need. My friend just bought a huge plasma at 50% off at one of the store closings in the University area [Charlotte]. Lucky dog.

If it ain't too late, good luck!
