Hi Folks,

I want to do a small system for my father-n-law. I'd rather not use an amp so I'm looking at the TC in wall series instead of the LC series. I noticed that only the LC series has a dedicated Center channel (LCIC). Is this center to be used for all in wall speakers or do I just get 3 TC265i to make sure the front 3 are matched?

Thanks!

I don't think a horizontal mounted TC265i will fit it in the 16" between studs in the walls...if that is the look your going for.

Your right, I would have to create a header above the center speaker which is a lot more work than I care to do. Thanks for the input.

You could just leave the center channel vertical, or just get a regular Rti or Lsi center to use with the inwalls.

I bought the LC265i in walls for all 3 fronts and had the framer that's working on my basement frame out the center channel. He had to cut 3 studs to get it centered in the room. It was a bit more work but to me it is worth it to get the 3 fronts matching.

He's been working on my basement for 5 months now and it's still not finished. I hooked up the speakers long enough to make sure they actually worked but that 's it. I can't wait until the basement is finished and I can actually hear what these speakers sound like. These are the first Polks I've owned and I've got 3 LC265i's and 2 LSiFX surrounds. I'm looking forward to it.
