My CSi5 is about 2 weeks old and recently I have noticed when high pitched vocals occur the CSi5's tweeter will make a scratchy/crackling noise along with the vocal. Also I will hear the noise when the characters say something which involves a lisp. My reciever is a 4 month old Denon 2307ci and I am using 12awg cables with banana clips.

If you have ruled everything out,you may need to replace the tweeter. DID you check/troubleshoot the connections and the receiver? Try another speaker on that channel,if the problem persists it's your receiver,if not,,may be the tweet,,good luck
JC approves....he told me so. (F-1 nut)

Check the tweeter separately for functionality. I thought the same thing once, long ago, but it ended up being I just needed to clean up some dirty outputs from an older amp I was using.

Also, check connections, make sure it's calibrated correctly, etc.

If it's a dirty/interference like sound, then it's a channel/connection or tweeter. If it's sibilance, then that's pretty much source dependent and part of the RTi line from my experience.

    Combo rig:

Onkyo NR1007 pre-pro, Carver TFM 45(fronts), Carver TFM 35 (surrounds)
    SDA 1C, CS400i, SDA 2B
    PB13Ultra RO
    BW Silvers
    Oppo BDP-83SE
