I am looking to buy a projector for a home theater and home theater seating. Would prefer 720p projector that someone is upgrading to 1080p. New options are about $800.00, so please take that into account.

I am also looking to purchase new home theater seating. Probably two rows of four. Even advice on this topic is appreciated.

If someone has either, please contact me.

are you saying you only want to spend 800 bucks? Berkline seating should suffice, its very nice and comfy and can be found online for great prices. Check out the infocus IN76, Panasonic PT-AE1000U, Mitsubishi HD1000U,Panasonic PT-AX100U

Check out overstock if you're looking for something rather inexpensive for HT seating. They have 3 and 4 seaters for a reasonable price with cheap shipping:

A little advise on the projector. Make sure to buy a bulb warranty. One of the reasons, actually the reason that convinced me to purchase my particular projector is that is has a three year, three bulb warranty on it. One bulb for my projector costs $350 plus shipping. If you are going to do anything more than watch movies with your projector then you really really should consider this. My son has the same projector and he and his roommates use it for everything not just movies and he has been through two bulbs in less than two years. That's $700 just to watch TV.

The bulbs that come with mine are 2 to 3 thousand hours. $149 is a good price. I guess your projector has new technology.

Lou suggested this projector to me, and I have been quite satisfied with it. I use mine all the time, and the bulbs are only $150 each(haven't killed one yet). The unit itself is only $384 new on ebay. The picture is 480 so don't expect a ton from it. The colors are real good. I project mine from about 14 feet, and the screen is about 8 feet. I watch from about 12 feet. DVDs are 480 anyways. So if you are not doing the HD thing yet it is a real deal to get started in projectors. When the prices come down on better projectors, and bulbs I will upgrade

You could try avsforum. They usually have a good selection of folks upgrading to 1080p's looking to unload their 720p's. At $1K, you've got Optoma HD70 or Mits HD1000u.

They've dropped the price on those to $995. I checked my wholesale price and it's $981. You know your wholesaler is sticking it to you when you can buy it retail for $14 more.
