..Or else I might just scrap the idea of an all MOMOs and go with all dBs. I took a look at the rear deck area of my Camry, and right below the stock 6x9 speakers there is a rod mechanism for the trunk lid that runs so close below the speaker. I'm afraid the MMC690s beefy aluminum basket will hit it. Or I can probably manipulate the rods bending or securing them away with a hook of some sort.
Hope U guys can give me pointers.

Dont know about that one dude. The MMC690's are the best 6x9's on the market (yes, they are THE BEST blackmax ) but their basket is pretty bulky. You would be much better served if you could get them in tho.
If you dont have a Tweeter nearby that could let you test fit a pair, measure your clearance. You need 3 1/4" clearance from the bottom most part of the magnet.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

...Well I have a pair coming, so I haven't given up my MOMO dream!

well they surely hang lower than the stock speakers they replaced. But they do sound better. I don't think mine have broken in yet, though.
heres a pic right after i installed one of them.

oh, i have much faith that they will. I know that most Polk products have a long break-in period. Which really isn't that big a deal for me because I enjoy driving around for no particular reason.
