******* Cables purchased from anonymouse *******

Ok, I'm ashamed to admit it, but I've been powering all my mains with HD (Home Depot speaker wire) cable... the problem is, it's a royal pain in the arse to change it out on the back of the AVR, and I also wonder about my connections at times...

So, I would like to pick up a pair of cheaper cables with spades / banana plugs? Am I looking for the right thing here? So, I can swap them out of the AVR with ease, and also have a more secure connection. I don't know which is better spades or plugs...

Anybody have any, say 6-8ft for the Fronts and 6 ft for the Center they'd be willing to sell?

Thanks for looking!

I can build you a pair of my cables if you are interested. They sound great, the only reason they aren't finished on the post is I have not had time to deconstruct them and heat shrink the cosmetic parts. To be honest, I've been listening to them too much. :p

PS: I can do any type of connections, or whatever else you would need/what/etc.

What would the price be for a set of 8' speaker cables?!? Looks like you have quite the business on your hands!!!

    Good show!

I haven't thought that far. Bluejeans sells a single 8' cable with bananas for $35.40. I really don't know what's fair. What do you think?

(I'm more of a builder than a seller if you haven't noticed. Plus, I dread the idea of dicking someone.)

Think? I think you should gift a pair to me and I'll be your spokesman if I like them! Great advertising...

I'd put them in my sig, tell all my friends and family about them, um.. I'd even give you all the leads for sales I get, and someday when you're a huge mega company called, "Zingo Cable" or Z Cables for short, I'd even split the profit with ya!!! What a great idea huh? :D:D

Could you just get a set of banana plugs and add them to the cable you already own? (change if you want, but just to get banana's seems like a bad reason to purchase a new cable.)

    Michael
    Mains.............Polk LSi15 (Cherry)
    Center............Polk LSiC (Crossover upgraded)
Surrounds.......Polk LSi7 (Gloss Black - wood sides removed and crossovers upgraded)
    Subwoofers.....SVS 25-31 CS+ and PC+ (both 20hz tune)
    Pre\Pro...........NAD T163 (Modded with LM4562 opamps)
    Amplifier.........Cinepro 3k6 (6-channel, 500wpc@4ohms)

I probably could... but I don't have any sodering tools, and I'd be afraid I wouldn't make the best connections ya know? Plus, how good can 12gauge 'Depot cable be? Not doing the speakers justice I think...

The GLS plugs (I purchased mine on ebay) only require a small screwdriver. Not soldering neccesary. If you want new wire, ok then. I thought you were upgrading just to get the plugs.

Good luck and let us know what you end up going with and what you think of it.

I have some 10' Monster terminated with spades... 3 of em for $20 shipped fair?

When you say 3 of them, I assume that's three pairs?!

If so, what does terminated mean? sorry don't know much of anything about cables.. and what difference if any are there between spaded and banana plugs?

I may take them if it's three pairs!! Then I could run my center as well!!!

I got really good bananas from a member here and they are compression. . . no soldering, no screw drivers, just your fingers. You can get these very inexpensively ANYWHERE on-line, rat shack etc.

No, you assume wrong. Its three wires... one for the left, one for the right and one for the center. Obviously, each one has 2 cores for the positive and the negative.

Ahh, gotcha. So they will run three sets of speakers..

Let me get with my sponser here, to see if a deal is being forged in stone about his cables, and if not, then I will take yours!

    Thanks man
