Help with placement

I'm having an addition built, the top floor being the family room. It measures 30' long by 20' deep and has a cathedral ceiling measuring around 18'. I'm having a "bump out" built to hold the 65" Hitachi which will also have side shelving units. I'll house the electronics on one side and stuff on the other. This is centered on one of the 20' walls which leaves approximately 4.5' feet on each side.

The listening area will basically be to couches running perpindicular to the bump out with two lounge chairs at the end basically making a U shape area.

I've purchased a Pioneer Elite VSX80TXV as the receiver. For speakers I went with the LCIC (inwall center), TC265I (inwall fronts), TC80I (in ceiling surrounds), and two PSW303B subwoofers.

The subwoofers will be placed in the bottom corners of the bump out. The fronts obviously will be on either side of the TV, around 4' high and approximately 8' from each other. I went with the in ceiling TC80Is since I don't have wall space available on either side of the listening area. One side being a stone fireplace the other a large archway into the kitchen. This is where I'm having a bit of a placement problem.

My thought is to have the in ceilings about a foot wider than the fronts. This will be a spacing of approximately 10' - 11' between the two surrounds. The plan is to place them on the ceiling where they will be basically pointing down along the outer perimeter of the listening area.

How does this speaker setup sound? Would appreciate all input.

Thanks,
Bernie

I still have a few hours before the insullation goes up. All I'll need to run are the surround wires which will only take me 30 minutes or so.

Still time to provide helpful input, if anyone cares to.

Wow, nothing like joining a forum a couple of hours before you're wiring your in-wall and in-ceiling speakers and asking questions about where you should wire them and then leaving in a huff when nobody responds before your very short deadline.

I haven't been here long but I have found the people on this board to be very helpful and to have lots of information, but online forums generally just don't work that quickly.

Also, not a lot of people have in-wall or in-ceiling speakers so my guess is that not a lot of people were confident in the advice they would have given you and that may be a large part of the reason you didn't receive a bunch of responses.

Maybe you could plan a little farther in advance next time and give yourself time to ask questions and get responses.
