    I'll second this.

Also, try U-571 in DTS. Go to the depth charge scenes.

The nemo scene has lots of bass and is a great demo to show off a sub, but it is centered around 30hz & far from the lowest out there. Hitchhikers guide has the lowest ive seen in a waterfall chart, but not too many peoples systems can play below 10hz with authority

I'm no bass expert but the Nemo scene seemed way lower then 30hz. I don't think all subs will do that scene correctly due to it's capability to go as low as I think it is. I also thought it was about 17hz or so?

It does have bass lower than 30hz, but the majority is centered around 30hz. http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/showthread.php?p=9881048&highlight=nemo#post9881048

Also, Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring, when Sauron goes nuclear. I believe it hits under 20 Hz.

"Black Hawk Down" Has the lowest but your SVS won't touch it. Only the biggest IB setups even have a shot at 5Hz/100+ dB

    "Running Scared"
    "Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy"
    "Master and Commander"
    "Flight of the Phoenix"
    "I, Robot"
    "Monsters Inc"
    "Finding Nemo"
    CD's:
Soundhounds Church organ CD (16Hz all over the place)
and finally Telarc's "Fantasy Adventure Album"

Forgot about the 2 Hz. signal in HGTTG, but it's only at 70 dB or so right? The BHD is supposed to be at 110dB or so making it the harder of the two to play.

According to the SVS website, Star Wars Ep1 has a special "loaded" THX intro that hits extremely low and hard. That and the Pod Race are said to be insane!

Here is the complete list on the SVS website.

Can't remember how powerful the 2hz in Hitchhikers was, it is somewhere in the AVS
    Waterfalls
    thread.

Opps just went through and realized Meeks32 already posted about Hitchhikers and the Waterfall thread. Sorry Meeks32.

Other ones that haven't been mentioned yet would include:

*The Haunting in DTS Specifically I like "The Cold" scene

Event Horizon (preferably the recent re-release) during any fly by scenes or the ending

Ghost in the Shell 2: I love the parade scene and doll house scene

Hellboy: A lot of people like the chase scene, I love the pendulum swinging scene very impressive deep powerful bass

*Master and Commander: The opening battle scene is an amazing demo all around, but the cannons are great for powerfull impactful bass

*The Matrix Revolutions: Tons here, the dock breach scene, the machine speaking scene, the final fight scene especially the slo-mo lighting hit

Minority Report: The factory pulse guns scene, quick but you really feel it

The Prestige: Surprising here, but there is a very cool very deep rumble during scene 20 when one of the guys shows of the machine

*Saving Private Ryan: First scene with the mortars, the grenades in scene 12, the sticy bombs scene with the tanks rumbling

Serenity: Spefically I like the bast in the intro and the big space battle

Silent Hill: Pretty much the entire movie has lots of deep bass

Terminator 3: The fire truck chase some people like, I love the ruptured cell scene 13, very sudden and it just blows you away

*Texas Chainsaw Massacre: Love the trailer, quick great surround use and deep bass plus very creppy

    Titan AE: Ice Fields

All of these work well, I am very surprised no one mentioned Titan AE, Minority Report, Master and Commander, or The Haunting yet. If you want any more detail on any of these scenes I have the scene numbers and time stamps as I demo them often.

I stared the ones I use most, but there are some not on here as they have already been mentioned ex. War of the Worlds
