Maybe you guys missed that they are specifically made for SACD playback. If only they were THX certified, or better yet THX Ultra certified, I'd be all over them.Stereo Rig: Hales Revelation 3, Musical Fidelity CD-Pre 24, Forte Model 3 amp, Lexicon RT-10 SACD, MMF-5 w/speedbox, Forte Model 2 Phono Pre, Cardas Crosslink, APC H15, URC MX-950, Lovan Stand
Bedroom: Samsung HPR-4252, Toshiba HD-A2, HK 3480, Signal Cable, AQ speaker cable, Totem Dreamcatchers, SVS PB10-NSD, URC MX-850 -
I remember those speakers, my manager was so excited because they were the ES line and were utilizing Kevlar drivers and the rounded cabinets. What a let down, they were actually pretty popular back when I was at CC, sold more of those then Infinity and whatever else crap brands we had, but less then Polk or Bose.

Made for especially for sacd's to listen to music that extends to 70khz... Hook these babies up for some ultrasonic animal control.

Hahahahahahaha

Well to each his own, or Sony their own, or... at that level of stupidity, I'm not sure...
-
What bugs me about speaker adds by peeps who think they know...is that they will say somthing like " these speakers are 200W of pure power". I think really...I should write to them and say, I don't see a power cord from your speaker, so how is it that they are 200W?...you mean they can take upto 200w....

oh come on.... we embrace a $15 rat-shack amp and dump on a close-out speaker simply because it has the Sony name???
