It looks like fedex told the truth and is delivering today the Rotel 5.1 processor I got to connect to the 1075 5 channel amp. Any big mistakes to look out for here? I saw a multi-channel amp with a suggested input pattern for the 5 channels, does it really matter what goes where? This put center between FR and FL (maybe just to have it make sense). If you use interconnects that are not labeled, what is the best way to label them to make sure you don't mix them up--just colored marker, or maybe tape? Should amp be powered up before processor turned on, or not matter? I also was planning on giving the amp a dedicated power strip.

I don't mark mine, it's only 5 cables, not too hard to keep straight.
As far as turn-on, the Rotel amp has speaker output relays that will delay turning on your speakers for a few seconds, so you can power up everything at the same time without thumps. There should ne a 12v output from the pre-amp to trigger the amp on and off. If you don't use that, you should turn the pre on first. -
Have fun.
