Great show! Crazy ****.
I've been somewhat fascinated with Everest since I read Into Thin Air by Jon Krakauer. It's about the 1996 season in which 8 climbers died...one of the most engaging books I've ever read. Highly recommended.
Also, check out the IMAX film about Everest. It was actually--and by coincidence--filmed in the same 1996 season as Krakauer's book. Some of the crack IMAX film crew had to abort filming and try to rescue other climbers...just amazing stuff.
Anyway, I'm not climbing that thing anytime soon.Von Schweikert VR4-jr

If you like Everest and have not seen Touching the Void, then you are doing yourself a great disservice on viewing one of the most epic climbing movies ever made. -
Just to clarify, Touching the Void isn't about Everest, but it's a very good movie.
