Went in to my local Tweeter today to check the deals since theyre closing and theyve got a couple.

RTi8's for $480 a pair
RTi4's for $180 a pair
RTi6's for $260 a pair
T90E's for $490 a pair

These arent giveaway prices but theyre pretty solid discounts, NIB and from an authorized retailer! Those 4's for $180 is a pretty sweet deal. I may very well put my car audio on hold for a bit and pull the trigger on some of those. Would be nice to have a proper reference system for my car! ;)

Gawd I wish I could scrounge up $500. Id kill to have a set of the 8's! Doubt theyll be that low again!

Just because theyre discontinued doesnt mean theyre not great speakers anymore!

When a line gets discontinued, thats the best time to buy cause theyll be much cheaper.

Aren't the RTi8's the ones Polk had up for Kharma last year via Doro?

And ... remember that this weekend is sales tax holiday in Tennessee. I assume it it state wide. I know it is in the Nashville area. I'm not sure if there are limits, or if it applies to everything.

Forget what I just said about the sales tax holiday. They just had a report about it on TV. It only applies to clothing for items up to $100. You can buy as many items as you want, but any single item over $100, the tax break will not apply. Also, personal computers up to $1,500 are eligible, as well as some school supplies.

They will then do it again in August, just in time for back to school clothes.
